GARDEN PARTY

A garden party in honour of visiting delegates and their wives was held yesterday afternoon at Mon Desir, Takapuna, to mark the conclusion of the annual convocation of the Supreme Grand Royal ArchChapter of New Zealand. Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall attended, and there were about 200 guests, who were received by the newly-elected First Grand Principal of New Zealand, Mr. W. Reynolds, of Whangarei, and his sister, Mrs. Nyberg. Others in the official party were Dr. and Mrs. T. G. Short, and Mr. and Mrs. Dawson, Of Whangarei, Mrs. Archie Burns and Mrs. A. Pooley.
