"KIWI" STREET DAY

The first official street day appeal of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association will be held in Auckland on Friday, February 16. The association was recently placed on the City Council's list of bodies authorised to hold street collections. The Mayor, Mr. Allum, recalled this morning that the association held an unauthorised appeal last year when collectors stood in doorways with collection boxes. The public response to this appeal had been such that it was evident that official sanction should be placed on any of the association's future appeals.
