'SINGLE-HANDED RESCUE

WOMAN'S SPLENDID WORK P-A. DUNEDIN, Friday. A splendid single-handed ; rescue was effected in the Brighton surf by Miss Chase Clarke, a Training College student, and a former swimming champion. A man weighing 13 stone was caught in the heavy undertow, and Miss Clarke brought him to shore in an unconscious condition, and herself effected his resuscitation.
