Private Athol Norman Lynch (23), reported killed in action, was the youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. D. Lynch, 10, Westmorland Street, Grey Lynn. He was educated at the Marist Brothers" School and Seddon Memorial Technical College. He went to the South Pacific in 1943. He was there nine months and then went to the Middle East.
