THREE CHARGES
« LABOURER BEFORE COURT Charged with the theft of £4 7/6, the property of the Salvation Army, on November 26, and with the theft of £5 on August 12, John Lee Aston, aged 50, labourer, appeared before Messrs. J. Donald and F. T. MeAneny, J.P.'s, this morning. Accused admitted the first charge and was committed for sentence. On the second charge he pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. On a third charge, namely, of being unlawfully on Alexandra Park Racecourse on August 12, accused was convicted and fined £5. DetectiveSergeant Fell, who prosecuted, stated that accused had a long list of previous convictions. Of the amount involved in the first charge £2 15/ had been handed over by accused.
