MEAT GRADING SCHEME
TO OPERATE NEXT WEEK
Buyers favoured only primer grades of beef at the Westfield fat stock markets yesterday in view of tne meat grading system for the retail market to be brought into operation in Auckland on Monday. - ft® scheme will also be introduced W Christchurch and Dunedin next .week. It has been operating in Wellington since November, 19-13. In the remaining abbatoir districts it will come into force on January 1. distinguish grades coloured E,jii j S used. For some meats there will be a third grade, which will be denoted by one «ti, w s . tr ipe, and a boner grade, which will carry two green stripes.
