ARMY WEEK DISPLAYS

A demonstration of training with a 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft gun was given to-day by senior cadets from the artillery sections of Sacred Heart College and Mount Albert Grammar School as part of the Army Wees campaign. At the conclusion of tne display the equipment passed over the Bailey Bridge, which has been erected in Queen Street opposite the Chief Post Office. . , . Interest is toeing maintained in the various other street displays and exhibitions of Army equipment in shop windows in Queen Street and Khrangahape Road. The Bailey bridge will be dismantled sufficiently to-morrow to demonstrate a re-launching. •"■ISO, at 12.20 to-morrow a display of iopounder field gun drill will be by school cadets in Karanganape Road. On Friday, signal demonstrations will be staged outside tne G.P.0.. in Karangahape Road, and near the Civic Theatre. . Wireless sets similar to those used in General Grant and General Sherman tanks will be in operation, and the puDiic will have an opportunity of using the sets. In addition, there will oe a display of all types of radios usea by the Second N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East. Purchasers of £10 bonds will be given rides in General ktuan, tank on display outside the u.r.u.
