Demand liabilities: State, £10,315,877 ( + £1,243,124); banks, £35,365,513 (—£2,502,934); other, £1,974,018 (+£567,870); other liabilities, £1,959,144 (—£32,242); total, £89,149,642 (—£629,553). Assets.—Reserve: Gold, £2,801,877 (same); sterling exchange, £32,933,589 ( + £178,635); subsidiary coin, £42,379 (—£3251). Advances— • Marketing. £2,973,'984 (—£1,094,431); other, £35,885,000 (same); investment, £11,736,055 (same); other assets, £2,773,760 (+£189,494); total, £89,149,645 (—£629,553). Proportion of reserve to notes and other demand liabilities, 41.673 per cent (previous week, 41.031 per cent).
