WAR PENSION APPEALS

BOA 111) SITTINGS CONCLUDED The War Pensions Appeal Board has concluded its sittings in Auckland, during which over 350' cases were heard. The applicants were mostly men who had served in this war, though there Were some appeals against decisions relating to pensions granted for injury in the 1914-18 conflict.

Approximately 150 of the appeals Were advocated through the R.S.A. by Mr. R. G. Mason, secretary of the Auckland association, and 00 per cent of these concerned the present war, while several were from country branches which avail themselves of Mr. Mason's services, placed at their disposal by the local executive. The session lasted for something like 12 weeks, and the board will again assemble at Auckland in November.
