SOMEEVILLE BEATS MT. EDEN Improved ground conditions at Papatoetoe on Saturday enabled the players to produce glimpses of sparkling hockey in the final series of matches in the Devonport Shield competition. As Somerville had already virtually won the trophy the previous week, there was a carefree spirit in evidence in most of the games, and this, no doubt, was a contributing factor to the flashes of brilliance given by several of the forward lines.
