FOR AIR FORCE USE
VACATED U.S. HOSPITAL BUILDINGS AT REMUERA (0.C.) WELLINGTON, this day. The buildings in Market Road, Remuera, wiiich have been used as a hospital for United States naval forces, have been allotted by the Government to the Royal New Zealand Air Force for the accommodation of personnel at present housed in various other parts of Auckland. Alterations to meet the' requirements of the Air Force are to be started without delaj-, but it is likely to be some weeks at least before the personnel can transfer to their new quarters. The hospital is not yet completely vacated. The premises to be vacated by the Air Force will include all except one in the block comprising the Air Force No. 1 Port Depot in Parnell Rise, and several other buildings leased by the Air Force. The question of the utilisation of the vacated buildings is at present under con- j sideration by the Government.
