AIRMEN'S LEAVE

In pursuance of the letter re the curtailment of travel for Air Force personnel, they are no longer given the opportunity to hitch hike. These men have been refused leave passes for over 50 miles because of congestion they may have caused among the more fortunate civilians, who are travelling in comfort, often without justification. When we consider how little effort would be necessary on the part of the authorities to provide transport, we feel bitterly the injustice of the fact that so much fuel is obviously being wasted around us every day—often for the simple purpose of pleasure. ANOTHER ONE WHO KNOWS. ■
