MEETINGS AT PAEROA In spite of the tightening of the restrictions affecting the transport of racehorses, the Ohinemuri Jockey Club and the Bay of Plenty Racing Club will definitely hold the meetings at Paeroa scheduled for March 18 and March 20, respectively.
FIXTURES POSTPONED
(P.A.) WESTPORT, this day. The Westport Jockey Club's meeting, which was scheduled for April 1, and the Nelson meeting, to have been held at Westport on April 8, have been postponed because of restrictions on the transport of horses. Both clubs will apply for dates later in the season.
A Press Association message from Timaru states that the trotting meeting to have been held there on Saturday next has been abandoned. The club has decided to apply for a date when the restrictions are lifted.
