The wedding of Miss Phoebe Parore, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Parore, of Dargaville, to Colin Ivan Turner, eldest son of Mrs. L. F. Turner, of Dargaville, and the late Mr. D. Turner, of Donnelly's Crossing, took place last Saturday"at the Presbyterian Church. Dargaville. The Rev. Raynor officiated. The bride, who was given away by her step-brother, wore a beautiful frock of ivory slipper satin, with a cowl neckline and long close-fitting bodice which swept into a very long train trimmed with a horseshoe of roses. A halo of orange blossoms held her long veil in place, and she carried a horseshoe of white roses and maiden hair fern. The bridegroom's sister, Miss Gwen Turner, was bridesmaid. She wore a pink georgette frock, with embossed patterned flowers, and a pink tulle veil. Her Oouquet was of pink dahlias. Nanette Parore, youngest sister of the bride, acted as flower girl and wore a blue crepe de chine frock trimmed with lovers' knots. She carried a basket of flowers. Mr. Phil Parore was groomsman. The bride's mother received her guests wearing a blue ensemble, with white accessories. The wedding reception was held in the Municipal Building, Dargaville.
