OLD NAZI BOGY
GOEBBELS ON BOLSHEVISM
Rec. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 18. Goebbels, in an article in his newspaper, Das Reich, portrays the Germans as the last bulwark between Europe and Bolshevism. "The war is approaching a dramatic climax with giant strides, yet there is hardly any indications that the European peoples are awake to the imperative necessity of defending the Continent," Goebbels writes. "Events with which the year 1944 began were only a prelude to what is to follow. Everybody realises Europe's fate depends solely on the strength of German resistance. Nothing but the strength of the Wehrmacht can halt the> military advance of the Soviets."
