WHAT OF THE CHILDREN?

I would again appeal to the citizens of Auckland to make themselves aware of the appalling neglect of our young nation —the children. Investigation reveals the dire neea for co-operative interest in these little ones who, through war conditions, are denied those necessities which make for happy childhood-— home life and parental affection in many cases. An administrative blocK set up in extensive grounds somewhere on the outskirts of the city, provided with creche, residential nursery, kindergarten and hving accommodation for working mothers with children, would alleviate mucn of the anguish and distress of parents who are unable to find suitable living quarters for their children. M. HARVEY, Hon. Secretary, Motheihood of Man Movement, 317, Victoria Arcade.
