EQUALITY FOR ALL

I am quite sure that the Government has done its best to introduce a system of meat rationing whicn will be fair and equitable to all meat eaters. For my part lam pleased to think New Zealanders have been compelled to reduce the quantity ot meat consumed, because I am sure it will be of outstanding benefit to the general health of the community. It is a recognised fact that New Zealanders are among the greatest meat eaters in the world, and more scientists are coming to the conclusion that meat is unnecessary for health, and in the near future will be considered an obsolete article ot diet. Being a vegetarian I want the Government to introduce a system which will provide for nonmeat eaters obtaining additional butter in place of the meat ration coupons, as it is necessary to have butter or nuts (which are unprocurable) to take the place of animal fat. If it is the desire of tne Government to cater for all sections, this is their opportunity. VEGETARIAN.
