Lieutenant Patrick O'Dowd (24), who has been reported killed in action, is the husband of Mrs. Coral O'Dowd, of Devonport, and the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. O'Dowd - Saunders, of Remuera. Lieutenant O'Dowd joined up at the outbreak of war and left New Zealand in December, 1942. A brother is on active service in the Middle East.
