AUCKLAND BELOW QUOTA The sum of £11,961, the amount invested in National Savings in the Auckland postal area last week, was £4000 short of the week's quota fcr the district. A surplus built up before Christmas was drawn upon to make up the deficiency. Twentynine sub-centres reached their individual quotas for the week. Tuakau and Kaikohe are the latest to achieve their allocations for the vear ending March 31 next, bringing the total of successful sub-centres in this district to nine. Seven of these are situated in the north. A National Savings committee has been formed at Clevedon, with Mr. C. C. Munro as its chairman.
