COUPONS FOR FOOD

HOLIDAY ADJUSTMENT OHAXGES AXXOUXCEI) (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Food Rationing Controller, Mr. J. E. Thomas, announced tonight the availability of tea. sugar and butter coupons for the fourweekly periods ending January 23 and February 20 as approved by the Minister of' Supply, the Hon. Mr. Sullivan, and the War Cabinet. Tea coupons 9 to 12 will be available for a total of Boz from December 20 to January 23. Coupons 13 to 1G will be available for a total of Boz during the period from January 21 to February 20. Special Y3 coupons will be available for an additional Boz of tea above the normal quota at any time during December and January. Coupons 9 to 12 will be available for a total of 31b of sugar from December 20 to January 23, and coupons 13 to 16 for the same amount during the period January 24 to February 20. Special Y4 coupon is available for an additional 31b sugar for jam any time during January. Special Y5 coupons are available for an additional 3113 for jam during February. Butter "A" coupons 9 and 10 are each available for Soz of butter from December 10 to January 9. "A" coupons 11 and 12 are each available for Boz of butter during the fortnight January 10 to January 23. "A" coupons 13 and 14 are each available for Soz butter during the fortnight January 24 to February 6. "A" coupons 15 and ]6 are each available for Soz of butter during the fortnight February 7 to February 20. Available coupons for all these commodities up to number eight do not expire until December 26. but to avoid inconvenience during the holidays the next period has been advanced so that all coupons which would normally become available on December 27 are now valid from January 22. Four-weekly returns by retailers and wholesalers for the period ending December 26 are not to be required, and instead a single return for the eight weeks to January 23 will be accepted.
