LAND SALES ACT

OFFICIALS ANNOUNCED AUCKLAND APPOINTMENTS Announcement was made yesterday of the appointments in connection with the administration of the Soldiers' Settlement and Land Sales Act in the Auckland area. Deputy-registrars appointed are Mr. J. P. Lane, receiver of land revenue in the Lands and Survey Department, and Mr. O. H. Burns, accountant in the North Auckland Lands Office. Appointments of Crown representatives to urban committees are as follow:—Mr. J. E. Aubin, of the Land and Deeds Department (Auckland), Mr. D. Stevenson, Lands and Survey Department (North Auckland), ante* Mr. J. B. Rowe, Lands and Survey Department (South Auckland). Officials who will be attached to the various committees are announced as follow:—Messrs. C. A. A Brausch, Valuation Department; C E N. Watkins, State Advances Corporation; T. A. Lovie. Lands and Survey Department; and H. Latta. State Fire and Accident Insurance Department The offices of the Auckland Urban Committee will be on the top floor of the Lands and Survey building on the corner of Albert and Customs Street West. It is expected that the other two committees will have their offices in the National Mutual Life Association's building in Shortland Street.
