Honest criticism is one thing. MisreDresentation is both unspoi ting and un fair to electors. Here is the truth regarding Nationalist candidates chaiges that the price of certain foods has increased since the war. These are the Facts that every housewife can check foi herself at her grocer's store. The Price of Bread Nationalist candidates said that "the full loaf was two ounces less than that of pre-war days." The answer is that "he full loaf weighed two pounds m prewar days, and that is its weight to-day. irnr those who prefer it, there is a "snlit" loaf available at the weight of lib 120z —But That Has Always Been On cn- p Far from there being a wartime increase in cost of 18i per cent" since the Labour Government stabilised bread nrices in 1936 the two pound loaf has K s " d still is, 51d. In Actual fact flour is not sold to-day in fiilb bags nor has the price of flour increased. Flour was sold for 51b for 1/ in 1938, and it still is to-day. Ask your grocer! The Price of Sugar a Nationalist candidate alleged that a haf of sugar in 1938 was 1/9 and that to clay it is 2/3. Sugar was 2/ for 61b in 1938 and is 61b for 2/ to-day. Ask your grocer!
