Through the inferiority complex that overcomes some people because of social stagnation, we will have cases like that reported of the Maori homes in the city. Rooming accommodation is at a premium, ana one of the results is this overcrowding. Some years ago the cry was to upliti the Maori girls. They were not to work for Indians and Chinese. But nothing was done. Now to-day t_ne negro has come into the picture. He is not responsible for the state or affairs that has existed so long; it is social stagnation. Let those witn better knowledge uplift humanity and not drive them to stagnation.. FELIX E. JAMES.
