VICTIM OF TETANUS
: '' HIGH-PRICED COLT'S END The • Lang Bian—Cocoanut colt for which the Takanini trainer, F. Smith, as agent; paid 900 guineas at the National Sales' at Trentham in January, died from tetanus yesterday. The youngster met •with a slight leg injury some little while ago and appeared to be well on the way to recovery when tetanus set in. He was bred by Mr. J. G. Alexander, the Wanganui studmaster, who owns Coronach, and was a half-brother to Rulanut, winner of the W.R.C. Thompson Handicap in-1935.
