EXEMPTION APPEALS
Appeals for exemption from military service were heard by the No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board this morning. Mr. F. H. Haig presided, and associated with him were Messrs. T. P. McCready and A. M. SamuelJ •■
Ah adjournment sine die was granted in respect of appeals by or on behalf of the following reservists:— Gordon John Wheeler, . fitter and turner (appeal by J. S. McAlpine, Ltd:); James Morrison, boilermaker (Steel Ships,' Ltd.); Reuben Bradbury, carrier; James William" Davie, master carrier; Frank Leonard Furse, butcher . (E. •E. Keatley); Charles Edgar Holmes, carrier; William Wallace Kerr, dairyman (W. K. Kerr, sen.); Frederic William Mathews, carrier; Walter Morton Paul, carrier (Mrs. I. Paul); Harold William Stonestreet, cabinetmaker (G. C. Goode and Company). Appeals by or on behalf of the following reservists were adjourned to -a later flate:—Stanley David Mansell, farm hand (trustees in the estate of J. Mansell); Andrew- Thompson, steelworker. The board dismissed the appeal by Baillie Manufacturers, Ltd., on behalf of John Gordon Frear,' .secretary-accountant.
