MURDER TRIAIi OPENS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The trial of John Sidney Crawford, 26, a seaman, of South Africa, for the alleged murder of two United States Marines, Elmer William Geti and Sidney Samuel Sparrow, at Terrace Gardens, on January 7, opened to-day before Mr. Justice Smith. After an adjournment to arrange accommodation for the jury during the trial, which is expected to last all the week,, Mr.. W. H. Cunningham opened the case* and outlined the evidence.
