NGATIWHATUA TRIBE'S ACTION (0.C.) WHANGAREI, this day. Meetings of the Ngatiwhatua tribe, to which the final selection of a candidate for the Northern Maori seat was entrusted, have decided that members of the family of the late Mr. K. Paikea should discuss the nomination and then confer with Mr. P. Whareumu, a relative and head of the Otaika settlement, near Whangarci, when a final decision will be made.
