NEW ASSOCIATION
The new schedule relating to the sale of potatoes fixed an unduly low_ margin of profit to retailers, it was stated at a well-attended meeting of fruiterers. The fruiterers have formed an organisation to include the European, Chinese and Indian associations, and will be known as the Auckland Retail Fruit and Vegetable Association. Officers elected were:— President, Mr. J. S. Roe; vice-presidents, Messrs. P. D. Patel and Clem Ah Chee; secretary-treasurer, Mr. C. C. King. A committee of five Europeans, four Chinese and two Indians was formed.
