LATE LORD GALWAY

SYMPATHY APPRECIATED

The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. Allum, received a cablegram this morning from the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, Mr. Jordan, stating that he had conveyed to Lady Galway the Auckland message of sympathy following the death of Lord Galway.

Lady Galway asked that her heartfelt thanks should be sent to the Mayor, councillors and citizens of Auckland for their kindness to her family. She greatly appreciated the sympathy, and was deeply conscious of the esteem in which her husband was held.
