SHOOTING LIMIT

(0.C.) WHANGAREI, this day. While other Northland societies are observing a close season the Whangarei Acclimatisation Society decided last night to permit the shooting of waterfowl from May 1 to May 16. and pheasants between dates to be fixed by the council. The limit bag for pheasants was reduced from eight to six. No ammunition will be available ffer purchase, and the society is appealing for those with a surplus to distribute such to sportsmen with none. There was no shooting in the vVhangarei area last season.
