MR. NASH RETURNS
TO INTRODUCE BUDGET
STATEMENT IN HOUSE
WELLINGTON, Wednesday,
An announcement that the New Zealand Minister to Washington, the Hon. Walter Nash, is returning to the Dominion for consultations with the Government was made to-day by the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, Prime Minister. Mr. Fraser said Mr. Nash would introduce the Budget, which would be presented in the House of Representatives at as early a date as possible. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times reports that it is questionable if Mr. Nash will return to Washington. He may remain in New Zealand and take part in the forthcoming general election.
