AWARD INTERPRETATION

The Court of Arbitration to-day gave its decision on an interpretation of certain clauses in the electrical workers' award submitted by the inspector of awards. The question was whether or not a linesman who had worked from 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. on one day and was called at 2 a.m. next day and worked till 4.30 p.m should be paid double time rates for the hours worked on the second day.
