ACCIDENTAL DEATH

A verdict of accidental death was returned by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, yesterday afternoon at an inquest into the death by drowning of Tanga Davis, aged 7, son of Mr. D. Davis, of 162, Trafalgar Street, Onehunga. The boy was drowned on Wednesday morning when he fell from the Mangere Bridge into the water. Unsuccessful efforts were made by Mr. C. J. Leng, who was fishing nearby, to rescue the boy. Mr. Leng's action was described as very plucky.
