Halifax bombers on the runway of a desert aerodrome before a sortie. With their huge bomb loads these machines have caused great havoc at Axis bases, harbours and among: shipping- on both sides of the Mediterranean. Flying- on the_ "mail run" to Bengasi and Tobruk, and now on missions further afield on the road to Tripoli, these R.A.F. giants have robbed Rommel's forces of supplies and are keeping up a steady siege on his North African ports.
