Australia's "Cancer Of Birth
Control"
PLEA FOR LARGE FAMILIES Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY, this day. "Before Australia can be really great she must cut out the cancer of birth control," declared Mr. E. S. Spooner, M.P., a former State Minister. "Large families are the foundation of national greatness." Australia must recognise that birth control was evidence of national deterioration and an indicator of eventual extinction, he said. If it did not, Australia would be populated by other people, who would change the character of the country.
Any immigration policy not accompanied by a natural population increase must change national character and outlor-. For the next 20 years there should be honourable recognition for all families that doubled the present average family.
