"THE HOME GUARD'S FRIENDS"

I know quite a few men over 41 years of age who are fit in every way, judging by their actions and, although married, have less responsibilities than many a single man; men who escaped service in the 1914-18 war, and now boast of their family banking account, and the number of friends they have in the "Home Crtiard and on "active service." The screw is being tightened down on woman power for essential work; many of the above-mentioned men ar j even doing essential work, and apparently have no intention of ever doing anything to help the war effort. I wonder if I sent in a few names to the Minister of War Coordination would these men be roped in. Maybe they are members of the law and order section. TOUCH AND GO.
