Albert B. Wallis, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Wallis, of Robert Street, Ellerslie, who Has gained his wings and received a commission in the R.N.Z.A.F. overseas. Aged 21, Pilot-Officer Wallis was educated at the Auckland Grammar School. He was mobilised with the army on the outbreak of war but was later transferred to the Air Force as a wireless gunner, leaving for Canada in December, 1941.
