CHRISTIAN WOMEN

The Council of Christian Women held its fifth annual meeting in the 1 abernacle Hall yesterday afternoon. Mrs. A. Hodge, president, presided. The report stated that quarterly public meetings had been held and lectures to women and girls had been given by two women doctors. Two of the executive members had spoken at mass meetings. The council is steadily working for a home of refuge for women and girls, and the secretary of the sub-com-mittee, Miss Rice, gave a report on the progress.
