WEEK-END LEAVE
I also wish to protest abcut the soldiers' week-end leave being cancelled, especially those who are stationed in the Far North. My husband has not been home for two months, and leave is now being further curtailed. I think it would be only fair if they had a turn at. being near home, the ones who have always been here to take their places. SOLDIER S WIFE.
I am one of many wives who would like to protest against the change in week-end le3\e. We all know how the men will object and no one can blame them. They cannot be expected to stay there for four months when it only lakes half a day's travelling to reach their homes. There are single chaps nearer home still entitled to their ordinary leave and who have not had to break a home up and leave their young children, who look forward to their lather s week-end as much as the soldier himself.
