OBITUARY

MRS. MARGARET MUIR At the age of 94 the death occurred at Pokeno of Mrs. Margaret Muir. Born at Morayshire, Scotland, she arrived at Port Chalmers with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas, by the ship Christina McAusland, in 1871, and the family established itself at Pokeno. Two years later she married the late Mr. David Muir, who had come to Auckland with the Pollok settlers by the ship Ganges in 1863. After spending three years at the Thames Mr. and Mrs. Muir acquired land on Pokeno Hill. Mrs. Muir is survived by three sons and five daughters.
