COMMENT BY MAYOR
"I was not at the meeting," said th.e Mayor. Mr. J. A. C. Allum, when asked if he had any comment to make on the R.S.A.'s resolution. "In fairness, however, I am bound to say that it was not until April or May of last year that Mr. Usmar received any remuneration for his work for the patriotic council, and, in view of the extraordinary amount of overtime worked by Mr. Usmar it is a fair grant."
