REDUCTION SUGGESTED (0.C.) WANGANUI, Thursday. A suggestion that the civilian consumption of beef, bacon, pork and veal be reduced as part of a plan to provide the quantities required bv the armed forces has been supported by the Wanganui District Council It was considered that the question of how these commodities could be rationed was one that the National Council of Primary Production could decide. The chairman, Mr. W. S. Glenn said it would not hurt the New Zealand people to live on mutton and lamb.
