TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN
'From our midst have gone hundreds of fine young sportsmen to serve overseas, some never to return," said Mr. J \\ . Watson, chairman of the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control, last evening, on the eve of the third anniversary of the war. in calling upon the board to stand in silent homage to the men from New Zealand who had made the supreme sacrifice. He added that the sporting fields of the Dominion would be much poorer for the loss of those boys of ours who would never return.
