MAORI LEAGUE TEAM TO VISIT WELLINGTON
A telegram was received at a meeting Auckland Ru*by League Board of Contiol last night from the Minister of Railways Mr Semple, stating that permission had been granted for the Maori League team to visit Wellington on September 12 for the purpose of playing a i ?h . 'li n Iteserve - The chairman state< that all arrangements had been completed for the trip. The Dominion Girls' Life Guards were granted the use of Carlaw Park on the first Saturday in December for a demonstration of their work. The chairman and secretary were empowered to make all the arrangements.
Reference was made of two old league supporters who were at present in hospital, and letters of sympathy are to be sent to them. They are Messrs.. G. Hunt and N. Kyle. Saturday's matches:—Roope Roosterl onsonby v. Newton-Mount Albert, Carlaw Park No. 1, 3 p.m., J. O'Shannessey; Manukaii v. Marist-N T orth Shore, Carlaw Park No. 1, 1.45 p.m., S. Billman.
