REMARK RESENTED
MILK COUNCIL. INCIDENT
There was a clash at a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Mjlk Council last evening between the chairman, Mr. I. J. Goldstine, and one of the members, Mr. A. Thompson. The latter said that at the previous meeting he had asked a question, and it was not in the minutes. The chairman said there had been no resolution concerning the question to record. Mr. Thompson had asked a question and he (the chairman) had intimated an answer. "I don't get your point," added Mr Goldstine.
"I do not want to be told a pack of lies when I ask a question," said Mr. Thompson. The chairman insisted on Mr. Thompson withdrawing the remark, and said if he did not he proposed' to ask him to leave the meeting. Mr. Thompson declined to withdraw his remark or leave the meeting.
Later he said that as he wanted to take part in the meeting he would withdraw the remark on that ground.
