Moir said the object of the movement was to ensure'a total war effort, which meant the complete harnessing of all the Dominion's' resources, including manpower and equipment. The "Awake New Zealand movement had gained great strength in the Waika'to. and if it gained the same strength throughout .New Zealand something would be done.
