Vital Battle Of Bay Of Bengal Forecast BRITISH FORCES SEARCHING Rec. 2 p.m LONDON, April 8. The British and Japanese Navies are preparing for a decisive battle for the control of the Bay of Bengal, says the Daily Mail's Calcutta correspondent. It is known that powerful units of the Japanese fleet moved to Rangoon and Port Blair. Vague reports, mainly from Japanese sources, are distributed to-day about naval fighting in the Bay of Bengal, but it is believed in London that the British forces are still searching for the Japanese squadron.
