NEW QUARTERS
CRIPPLED CHILDREN
QUICK TRANSFER MADE
In accordance with the resolution of the Auckland Hospital Board, the children from the Wilson Home for Crippled Children, who have been temporarily accommodated at the Dingwall Orphanage, at Papatoetoe, were transferred yesterday to their new quarters in the Onehunga Intermediate School at Royal Oak. The school was recently taken over by the board under the authority of the Minister of Health.
The transfer of the children was commenced yesterday morning and, by ll.:;o a.m., all were safely installed in their new quarters, and last night were all happily settled clown. The building is being put into working order to-dav.
Notwithstanding assurances that the building would be quite ready for complete occupation when possession was taken of it, stated Mr. Allan J. Moody, chairman of the board, this morning, it was quite obvious that this would not be the case. The board, however, appreciated that some inconvenience must, of necessity, arise, and it would not bo long before the temporary hospital was in full working order.
The board, added Mr. Moody, expressed its deep appreciation to the Dingwall Trust Hoard for their cooperation and assistance in Hie matter of accommodating the children.
