This concession applies only to cigarettes and tobacco sent through the board. If it is sent in parcels in the ordinary way. the recipient will still be rendered liable for customs duty in Egypt. The boartl attended to the packing and dispatch. There was a range of six brands of cigarettes, eight of cigarette tobacco and seven of pipe tobacco. Including postage, the prices charged represented reductions on the ordinary prices of approximately five shillings on 200 cigarettes and nine shillings on one pound of tobacco.
