ACTIO* AGAINST FIRM
The hearing was continued in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Fair, of a claim for damages for alleged wrongful dismissal and breach of contract made bv Ernest Bnstow Millen, confectionery manufacturer (Mr. Beckerleg), * against Brown Brothers and Geddes. Limited. confectionerv manufacturers (Mr. V. R. Meredith). The plaintiff, who alleged that he had been improperly interfered with and wrongfully dismissed before the end of his term of employment, claimed £225, alleged to be clue" under contract* £15 return fare and £500 general damages.
The defence was that the plaintiff was properly dismissed on account of disloyalty, general incompetence and other reasons. Cross-examined, the plaintiff stated he was not contemplating going to Australia about November last. The case is proceeding.
